Office Depot Europe has sold its Italian business.
Office Depot Europe has sold its Italian business to strategic buyer Bruneau Group, France. Bruneau is a leading B2B eCommerce company for office supplies and equipment headquartered near Paris, France. With this sale, Office Depot Europe will completely exit the Italian market.
The sale of the Italian business is part of the ongoing transformation of Office Depot Europe and in line with the overall strategy of focusing on its core European markets of DACH, Benelux and UK/Ireland, and its transformation towards an eCommerce-centric business.
Ensuring continuity for partners
Despite the ongoing corona crisis, Office Depot Italy was able to increase its product and service portfolio successfully by developing Personal Protective Equipment and Hygiene&Cleaning segments.
Bruneau will further develop the business, integrating it into its existing portfolio and ensuring continuity for the existing customer. The change of ownership will not affect the business with international customers.
Office Depot Europe and Office Depot Italy have put a sub-contractor service agreement in place to ensure continued support and deliveries to existing international customers.
